Razor Scales & Pin Kits

Although we do offer a re-pinning service for straight razors on our sister site Razor Sharpening UK, it’s clear that there is a demand for spares such as scales and pin sets - hence this new page. More scales will be added to the ones below over time so do bookmark this page and ‘watch this space’.  Unlike our razor honing and repinning service offered on Razor Sharpening UK, we can send these spares worldwide as with all our other products. These blonde razor scales are actually a rich butterscotch colour and are well made, having a good gloss finish. Manufactured in composite plastic. They are supplied with the bottom pin already fixed. There is a third pin ‘barrel’ that can also be drilled for pinning if desired or simply left blank to give a two-pinned appearance. Supplied as shown with pins, pin collars and blade friction washers.

Straight razor pin set, fits virtually all sizes of straight razor. 2 pins, 2 friction washers and two pin collars as pictured. Simply fit pins and cut to length as required, then peen over to secure. Friction washers can be included or omitted as appropriate for individual razor.

Base wedges for straight razor bottom pins - fit virtually all straight razor scales. Pre-drilled, simply sandwich between the scales, fit and secure the bottom pin and cut or sand to the scale profile. Colour - white.

‘Blonde’ composite scales

Black composite scales

The scales in the photographs below are supplied by Dovo of Solingen and are as fitted to their premium razors. Most are hardwood and, being a natural product, colour and patterning will vary from set to set. The scales are separated by a gold-plated spacer and assembled using either standard pins or flush-mounted polished nickel fasteners, as illustrated below. Two pins are supplied (just in case you get it wrong first time!) and the internal brass washer can be fitted or omitted to suit tang width. Suitable for 5/8 razors only.
