Straight razor starter kits
The kits featured below are supplied without a razor but are in all other respects
the same as the kits above (except price of course!) We include them to enable you
to choose the razor you want with the kit - or maybe you already have a razor so
don’t want one with the kit. The kits contain all that’s necessary to your continued
enjoyment of straight razor shaving!
The three kits are:
The ‘traditional’ - contains, strop, brush, soap & bowl, alum block and strop dressing.
This is the equipment used for years and years in the heyday of straight razors and
of course continues with mainstream wet shaving nowadays.
The ‘modern’ - contains strop, brush, alum block and strop dressing but, instead
of soap & bowl, a tub of ‘Kent’ shave cream. This cream is simply applied to the
brush and lather worked up in the palm of the hand rather than in the shave bowl.
The modern formulation of the cream also contains skin conditioners and menthol.
The ‘brushless’ - comprises strop, strop dressing, alum block and a tub of high-quality
American Crew® shave cream. This require no brush and is simply applied directly
to the wet skin for a comfortable close shave.
All the items that go into the kits can be found on this site or our sister site
at Dovo Razors UK and purchased individually. However, purchasing in kit form saves
you money!

1 x Invisible Edge Pure Badger brush

1 x ‘Bloc Osma’ solid alum block for minor nicks.
KIT 3 - The ‘Brushless’.
Includes:
1 x 15240001 Dovo prima rindleder razor strop
1 x 504171 Dovo strop maintenance paste
1 x ‘Bloc Osma’ solid alum block for minor nicks.
1 x 150ml. tube of ‘American Crew’ high quality moisturising
shave cream.
KIT 2 - The ‘Modern’.
Includes:

to enter the world of straight razor shaving. Each kit is featured above without
the razor but here we’ve made it easy for you! By including the Dovo ‘Best Quality’
razor you don’t even need to ponder which to purchase. The Dovo model 101581 ‘Best
Quality’ is a half-hollow ground 5/8 round point and is ideal for the beginner and
is of course supplied shave-ready. It’s available separately on our sister site Dovo
Razors UK but by purchasing the two together you save £££’s! And that includes delivery!
Please note that we reserve the right to substitute a Dovo razor of equal or greater
value if stock of model 101581 is exhausted temporarily.
