These Wapienica razors differ from their more well-known all-steel brothers in several ways and the specifications are given below. These again are ‘NOS’ (new old stock) which does mean that supplies are severely limited. We have some forty in stock and can’t guarantee when (or if) there will be any more available, so don’t miss out!

Blade: 11/16 round point, hollow ground to about Henckel scale 5 - quite a stiff grind. The blades are satin-finished and are of course supplied shave-ready.

Tang: Jimps to the underside of the tang, the top is smooth. Struck to one side with the ‘SFM’ Wapienica logo and letter ‘S’ (though we must point out that not all have this logo - though all are Wapienica's). Tangs are mirror-polished.

Scales:  Basic beige-coloured plastic, built-in spacer and two pins. Certainly not inspiring but they perform the job they were made to do and are easily replaced with something better-looking!

Box: Basic plastic razor box.

Summary: As good a starter razor as you will get - the blade is excellent and takes at least as good an edge as the all-steel ‘Wapis’. This razor sits very well in the hand and wouldn’t - perhaps once rescaled! - disgrace any rotation. For the price they are very hard to beat - cheaper razors are available but in terms of blade quality these are light-years ahead!
