Description
Boker have produced a new version of their Schildpatt or faux tortoiseshell razor. As before it has a 6/8 satin finished carbon steel blade and gold detailing, but this version has been given a modern twist with a square point and contemporary styling to the scales. These are inlaid with the gold coloured Boker tree and are of cellulose acetate patterned to replicate tortoiseshell – so no tortoises were harmed in the manufacture of this razor! The large blade bears the mark ” Premium Selection ” around a turtle emblem. The blade has a thumb notch and jimping to the upper tang. All in all this is amounts to a very stylish and successful reinvention of a traditional classic. Although identified by Boker as a 6/8, the blade actally measures 7/8 from edge to the top of the spine.
