Description

This is another limited edtion shave soap from artisan maker Martin de Candre. This one – Vetyver – has a scent which is a mix of earthy, woody and smoky notes which is considered a classic and described as reminiscent of fresh grass on a summer day. Created with essential oils this luxurious soap will give you the ultimate shave leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft.

To use, Martin de Candre recommend first moistening the face with hot water, then wetting your shave brush thoroughly in warm water, being careful not to waterlog the brush by shaking off any excess. Using only a few circular strokes, as that’s all you will need, pass your brush over the soap to build up a lather. Spread the resulting foam on the face, again using circular movements. This will further develop the creamy foam and lift the facial hair away from the skin to ensure a smooth shave. When you’ve finished pass the jar under water to gently rinse away any left over foam and turn the jar upside down so the soap drips and dries thus making sure the soap lasts as long as possible. With careful use the manufacturer says a 200g jar could last a year so.

Supplied in a presentation box and glass jar. Weight 200g.

Martin De Candre

Formed as a family business in 1974, Martin De Candre soaps are highly thought of. This artisanal maker uses exclusively vegetable oils to create its base and scents.  It employs the Marseilles method of production to create soaps of rich lather and intriguing fragrances.

While at first view these shaving soaps may appear expensive, they are supplied in 200g jars, each of which could potentially last up to a year of use. On this basis they represent excellent value.
