Description
This Naniwa Advance 12K S2-491 stone is an excellent hone for superfine edges and replaces the Naniwa Super Stone. This stone is the thick version at 20mm, so is a much longer lasting stone for a little more money.
I have used a Naniwa 12k on many razors and it further refines the already excellent results produced by the 10k stone as part of a progression. Equally, it is an excellent choice on its own to refresh the edge of a carbon steel razor which has just gone beyond the ability of a strop. A stand is available separately.
In my view, for straight razor honing there is no need to go finer that this Naniwa Advance 12K S2-491 stone, it produces as fine an edge as you need.
