Description
This Ralf Aust razor has a 5/8 carbon steel satin finished round point blade and unusual mexican palisander wood scales. It has the usual “Ralf Aust Solingen” mark on the tang and the “Solingen Handarbeit” – handmade in Solingen – mark on the blade. Mexican palisander is a tropical hardwood similar to rosewood, but dark brown in colour. It has a beautiful grain marked with darker brown stripes. The scales feel substantial and the wood itself has a smooth but oiled texture. The spine has a flower pattern laser etched on to the top – something we have added to some of the razors which make up our expanded Ralf Aust range. The tang has jimping to the upper and lower tang. All Ralf Aust razors have a full hollow ground blade.
