As of the end of 2020 Kent are no longer producing their badger shave brushes. Instead they have extended their range of Silvertex synthetic brushes for use with soaps and creams. This is the equivalent of their BLK12 King Size shave brush.
Kent say they have developed their super-soft Silvertex synthetic bristles not only to mimic the attributes of silvertip badger bristle, but to actually improve on them. Kent claim that the crimped Sivertex fibres emulate the water retention properties of badger hair, are soft on the face yet strong enough to lift the beard. They also claim the bristles are durable and mildew resistant.
The thick loft of this brush gives it a very luxurious feel but the fibres are very soft and perhaps not suitable for someone who prefers a firmer brush.
Height approximately 120mm, loft approximately 60mm knot size approximately 30mm.
