Description
This razor from DOVO has a completely new and innovative design which took a year in the making and which is described by DOVO as being a tribute to Japanese blacksmithing. That Japanese influence is clear, with a modern elegant design which draws on the simplicity and form of a classic kamisori. Here in the walnut variant.
The 5/8 carbon steel blade is a full hollow shoulderless grind, with an inverted Turkish point and an almost flat spine and jimping to the lower tang. The scales are made from a mix of sustainable ultra compacted walnut wood hardened to withstand water and soap so your razor can continue to look its best.
The steel is 1.2210 which is a low alloy carbon steel. Quite a hard steel (slightly less than C135 but very similar) and hard wearing.
