This Thiers Issard 5/8 straight razor has been hand made using traditional methods going back to 1910. Le Grelot is a trade mark with much history, now owned by Thiers Issard. This particular razor, a new addition to our collection of Le Grelot razors, has a satin finish to both sides of the blade, one of which bears the historic Le Grelot Medaille D’Or mark. The razor has jimping to the underside of the tang, the side of which is stamped Le Grelot. The ebony scales make this razor an elegant choice. The blade has a half hollowed grind, meaning it is slightly stiffer, thus making it a perfect choice for beginners and those with a more wiry or coarse beard growth. Beautifully presented in a stylish retro cardboard box.
