Description
New from Boker this 4/8 “Mini Razor” is a version of the “Tiny” razors produced previously. The razor is small with a blade length of just 2 1/4 inches (58mm) and an overall length of 5 3/8 inches (135mm).
The scales are made from abalone which is a natural material made from the shells of sea molluscs which are found off the coast of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Mexico and South Africa. Today, the precious natural product is raised in water farms. The beautiful shells with their almost artificial looking shimmer have always been used as decoration. Boker use cutting-edge production methods, applying a wafer-thin layer to a carrier which is then encased in transparent acrylic. The result is a durable material which has an exquisite semi translucent sheen and an amazing turquoise colour.
The extra hollow blade has the Boker wreath motif in black and has a French nose, something unusual in a small razor. The tang is stamped with the Boker marks and has jimping to upper and lower sides.
This razor would be ideal for detailing around a beard or moustache or for use in shaving legs and elsewhere.
