Description
You’ll have to agree this new razor from Boker is a stunning piece of workmanship. It has a carbon 6/8 blade with a french point beautifully etched in black with an historic design first used by Boker at the beginning of the 20th Century for their luxury razors. The blade has an extra hollow grind with blade stabiliser. This stabiliser makes it possible to grind the blade so that it is extremely thin, but such that it still gives the blade enough stiffness, whilst still retaining its elasticity. It has jimping to the upper and lower tang and is finished with a plain spine.
The scales are made from abalone which is a natural material made from the shells of sea molluscs which are found off the coast of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Mexico and South Africa. Today, the precious natural product is raised in water farms. The beautiful shells with their almost artificial looking shimmer have always been used as decoration. Boker use cutting-edge production methods, applying a wafer-thin layer to a carrier which is then encased in transparent acrylic. The result is a durable material which has an exquisite semi translucent sheen and an amazing turquoise colour. Altogether an exquisite razor to add to any collection.
Comes in a display case and with a certificate of authenticity.
