Description
From a series of commemorative razors, this magnificent razor must be one of the highlights. The Boker Graf Engelbert is a square point razor with 7/8 blade, a mirror finish and embellished with 24 carat gold. The spine has a scalloped shape to it while there are jimps to both the upper and lower tang. The blade has an extra hollow grind with a blade stabiliser to provide rigidity. Images are of the actual razor for sale which is individually stamped with its unique serial number (508) and comes in a presentation box.
Near Boker’s headquarters lies the castle Burg an der Wupper. The castle is one of the largest in western Germany and the largest reconstructed castle in North Rhine-Westphalia. The famous history of Castle Burg is inseparably linked to the Duchy Berg and the Counts von Berg (Haus Berg 1068-1225). Boker are producing a series of straight razors dedicated to three historical Counts. This razor depicts the last Count von Berg, Engelbert II and represents him in his role as Archbishop of Cologne.
The scales are of horn (stag horn we think) and have a centre pin which provides additional stability.
SHAVE READY – Unlike some retailers, our razors are not supplied as they come from the factory. We individually prepare all the razors we sell. For full details see our policy.
