The Nature Shave Soap from highly rated Martin de Candre is unscented so you can enjoy the wonderfully luxurious shaving experience it provides without worrying that the scent of the soap will compete with that of your after shave or after shave balm. The soap has an old fashioned “soapy” smell, think of the scent of fresh line dried laundry and you’ll be almost there!
To use, Martin de Candre recommend first moistening the face with hot water, then wetting your shave brush thoroughly in warm water, being careful not to waterlog the brush by shaking off any excess. Using only a few circular strokes, as that’s all you will need, pass your brush over the soap to build up a lather. Spread the resulting foam on the face, again using circular movements. This will further develop the creamy foam and lift the facial hair away from the skin to ensure a smooth shave. When you’ve finished pass the jar under water to gently rinse away any left over foam and turn the jar upside down so the soap drips and dries thus making sure the soap lasts as long as possible. With careful use the manufacturer says a 200g jar could last a year so.
