Description
This Merkur 42 3 piece safety razor has a heavy duty head and an old school 6 sided retro handle. The Merkur42 razor is commonly referred to as a Merkur 1904, and rumoured to be a replica of an original Gillette 1904 classic. It is not claimed as such by Merkur however. The Merkur 42 is made from nickel plated chrome which provides an attractive finish while the attractively engraved handle provides a non-slip grip. It has a closed comb and is perfectly balanced for a precise close shave. If you have larger hands then you may find it a little too small and slim, in which case the 23C model might suit better. The Merkur 42 is a three piece razor, so the handle unscrews from the head piece for blade replacement. This razor accepts a standard DE razor blade.
Supplied in a Merkur branded cardboard box with a single Merkur blade.
