Description
This Ralf Aust razor has a 6/8 carbon steel blade with a satin finish, round point and lovely African blackwood scales. This model bears scales with a more contemporary styling. It has the usual “Ralf Aust Solingen” mark on the tang and the “Solingen Handarbeit” – handmade in Solingen – mark on the blade. The African blackwood scales vary in colour from dark red to almost black and is a like a cross between cocobolo and ebony. This type of wood a good choice as it is robust and has water repellent properties which means that the scales will retain their appeal. The tang has jimping to both the upper and lower sides while there is a laser etched flower pattern to the top of the spine. All in all a stunning razor. All Ralf Aust razors have a full hollow ground blade.
