Description
This is a 5/8 size vintage Elnora razor from Solingen, Germany with original scales and box. The extra hollow ground blade has a plain spine and jimping to the upper and lower tang. It has round point carbon steel blade bearing a design including “Extra Hollow Ground” on goldwash. The front of the tang bears the inscription “THE NAME “ELNORA” IS A GUARANTEE FOR QUALITY” while the reverse side indicates “GROUND IN SOLINGEN GERMANY”. The ivory-coloured celluloid scales are inset with the brand name and logo.
The blade itself is in very good condition, there are just a couple of small patches of corrosion which are shown in the images. One side of the scales has a slight distortion but there is no problem with the blade closing into the scales.
