Description
This Ralf Aust razor has a 5/8 carbon steel satin finished blade with a spanish point and unusual cocobolo wood scales. It has the usual “Ralf Aust Solingen” mark on the tang and the “Solingen Handarbeit” – handmade in Solingen – mark on the blade. The blade has a form of Spanish point to it, but almost a wave shape rather than a crescent. Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood, with beautiful graining, that stands up well to repeated handling and exposure to water. This razor mirrors the one at IE280009, but has classic style scales instead of the contemporary styling for the purists amongst you. The spine has a flower pattern laser etched on to the top – something we have added to the razors which make up our expanded Ralf Aust range. The tang has jimping to the upper and lower tang. All Ralf Aust razors have a full hollow ground blade.
