Like buses, you don’t see one at all then there are two ! Another different razor on which we have asked Thiers Issard to apply their “Le Transatlantique” mark. This Pistachio Razor with Transatlantique mark is a 6/8 razor with a carbon steel blade and a plain spine. It has a round point and jimping to the lower tang. The wood of Pistachio trees is uniquely beautiful, though not often seen or used in wooden objects. It can vary in colour from a light olive green to an orangish or purplish brown, frequently with darker brown to black stripes. The scales of this Pistachio Razor With Transatlantique mark have a mid to dark brown colour running through them in waves and set off the razor to stunning effect.

Thiers Issard registered the “Le Transatlantique” trademark in 1914, in honor of Jeanne Thiers, the owner’s sister, who adored ships and travelling. Today the beautiful sailing ship transatlantic trademark can be seen on the side of Thiers Issard straight razors along with Jeanne’s English name, Jane, which appears on the reverse of the tang.

Supplied in a Baragnia leather Thiers Issard wallet. Colour may vary.

As with all our razors, this will be supplied ready to use in accordance with our shave ready policy.
