This Thiers Issard 6/8 razor has a Bijou de France blade marking in black. We have used this mark before but here we have combined it with wooden cocobolo scales to stunning effect. Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood that stands up well to repeated handling and exposure to water. Nevertheless it is beautiful to look at, particularly here with a combination of black and reddish tones in stripes along the length of scales. The spine has an engraved oak leaf pattern which elevates this razor still further. It has a carbon round point blade with a hollow grind and jimping to the upper and lower tang. Overall a very special razor.
